Dr. Mohmmad Gaafar Abdla Karoum completed his MBBS at the University of Kordofan, Sudan in 2008. He completed his Post-Graduate Diploma in Emergency Medicine at Sudanese Center for Medical Training, Sudan in 2012. In 2013, he passed part I of Emergency Medicine Arab Medical Board. He took his European Master in Disaster Medicine at Piemonte Orientale University, Italy in 2016. He qualified part I of his Fellowship of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine – UK in 2019.
Dr. Mohmmad started his career as House Officer at the Ministry of Health, Sudan in 2009. In 2010, he worked as a General Practitioner in Emergency Department at Omdurman Hospital. In 2011, he was posted as General Practitioner in Orthopedics and Trauma at Alnao Teaching Hospital, Sudan. In 2012, he moved to Saudi Arabia and became a Resident in Emergency Medicine at King Abdullah Hospital. In 2015, he worked as a Staff Physician in Emergency Medicine at John Hopkins Aramco Healthcare. Prior to joining Salma Rehabilitation Hospital, he was posted as General Practitioner in Critical Care and Long-Term Care at a large multi-specialty hospital in Abu Dhabi.
Dr. Mohmmad is well-trained in Basic Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Life Support, Emergency Neurological Life Support, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support, and Fundamental Critical Care Support. To his credit, he published a poster presentation on chemical disaster preparedness in medical staff.
Dr. Mohmmad’s areas of expertise include critical care, emergency medicine; diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
